Holy Week

Your patience and thoughtful observance of the Covid restrictions is greatly appreciated. It has been a difficult year and the celebration of Holy Week and Easter is keenly anticipated. The Pastor however is obliged to remind parishioners and visitors that Covid Restrictions will remain in force during Holy Week.

As space in the church is extremely limited Holy Week services are open ONLY to parishioners registered before the beginning of Lent (17 February 2021).

Registered parishioners will also be asked to make a reservation to attend Holy Week services beginning with Palm Sunday 28 March. Instructions for the registration procedure will be announced on Sunday 14th March.

Attendance is limited and the liturgical rites will be adapted to conform to the Covid restrictions. This will mean the omission of the following: Distribution of Palms by the Celebrant, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament after Mass on Holy Thursday, and the Veneration of the Cross on Good Friday.

The celebration of Holy Week is the moment of the liturgical year when we are most able to unite our own sufferings to those of Christ. Please bear this in mind in regard to the Covid restrictions.

If you are not a registered Parishioner your are kindly requested to give precedence to those who are and observe the limitations placed upon this years Holy Week.
